Tec Library features AI-Powered resources

The Tecnológico de Monterrey Library offers faculty and students a curated selection of specialized resources featuring artificial intelligence to support information discovery, academic literature analysis, and responsible knowledge generation.  

New AI tools emerge weekly, promising to transform teaching, learning, and research. However, identifying reliable options and effectively leveraging them within an academic context can present a challenge.

To support the Tec community, the Library has compiled and organized digital resources that integrate artificial intelligence features within internationally recognized academic platforms.  These tools enable users to perform tasks ranging from gaining a broad topic overview to conducting specialized analyses of scientific literature, technical documentation, economic data, or legal content. 

To facilitate exploration, resources are organized into three tiers:  

• General Discovery: Best suited for introductory topic overviews, initial inquiries, and identifying key literature through embedded assistants in platforms such as eBooks 7-24 and eLibro.  

• Specialized Analysis: Designed to synthesize articles, extract key arguments, and query trusted information across databases including EBSCO, Statista, Financial Times, JoVE, O'Reilly, and ProQuest.  

• Advanced Research: Geared toward complex research projects and in-depth analysis using platforms such as Scopus AI, Web of Science, JSTOR, Oxford Economics, EIU, vLex, and Tirant Lo Blanch—tools capable of mapping relationships across scholarly work, identifying emerging trends, and evaluating scientific evidence.  

Beyond expediting routine tasks, these technologies allow researchers and students to dedicate more time and effort to analysis, reflection, and knowledge creation. Their application must always be grounded in critical thinking and verification against primary sources.
