On December 9 and 10, 2025, the fourth national edition of TecDuHack—organized by CEDDIE—took place, bringing together 255 participants. The challenge was to transform teaching and learning processes through the use of AI, specifically TECgpt, to design educational experiences connected to real-world challenges.

So, what has happened since then? What are professors doing with what they learned during TecDuHack?

Currently, there are 228 active individual projects. By the end of the first implementation period, 20 have already been launched.

Two of these projects stand out for their demonstrated results:

NeuroSpark Yéssica Betzabe Contreras Fuentes Campus Eugenio Garza Lagüera

  • In her Application Design and Development course, she used Agent TECgpt as a conversational agent to foster students’ argumentation skills in design decision-making. Through structured debates, student teams identified weaknesses in their proposals and refined their prototypes. This process led to deeper reflection on the problem, system functionalities, and user experience. Results show that this approach strengthens critical thinking and iterative design processes. This implementation impacted 30 students.  Anticipatory Simulation and Surface Analysis Using Contour Curves with Strategic Support from a Socratic AI.

Luis Miguel Méndez Díaz Campus Monterrey

  • In his four Intermediate Mathematical Modeling courses, he developed a TECgpt-based agent called Mike TECguIA, a Socratic AI that supports students in understanding topics such as quadric surfaces and contour curves. The agent also promotes metacognition by encouraging students to reflect on their reasoning when working with visually abstract concepts. Results indicate an overall student satisfaction rate above 91%, while also suggesting that the Socratic AI methodology offers advantages over traditional teaching approaches. This implementation impacted 115 students.

Like these examples, if you are interested in implementing innovative teaching practices, CEDDIE is here to support you.
