Before you begin, review these key steps

Canvas: Your best ally throughout the semester

Canvas will be the primary space where you'll manage your course, including communication, assignments, assessments, and feedback.

We recommend that you:

• Personalize your profile.
• Enable notifications.
• Maintain regular communication with your students.

Organize your course from day one

• Welcome your class

• Post a welcome announcement in Canvas and organize your course modules so content is clear, structured, and easy to navigate.

Prepare your assessments in Canvas

Review your assignments and learning evidence to ensure everything is properly configured. Verify that rubrics are attached when applicable and confirm that your course is ready for efficient grading throughout the semester.

Share your assessment plan

Communicate how the course will be assessed from the very beginning. This helps students understand expectations and stay on track throughout the semester.

Make sure you have access to your tools

Before classes begin, confirm that you have:

• Your institutional account and Digital Key (Llave Digital).
• Access to myTec to log in to Canvas, view your teaching schedule, and access SuccessFactors.
